Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2, 2026
We want Recraft Studio to work for everyone, and are working towards meeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the international standard for digital accessibility, referenced by the EU's European Accessibility Act (EAA), the US Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the UK Equality Act 2010.
What we've done
The following improvements have been made, with additional future work noted in the Known Issues section.
Recraft Homepage refers to our main homepage (recraft.ai). Recraft Website refers to all pages within recraft.ai, including our Homepage. Recraft Studio is our product — the image generation and editing workspace where users create, edit, and manage their designs.
Recraft Website & Recraft Studio
- All pages have correct, descriptive page titles
- All pages have a correct heading structure and clearly defined page sections to help screen readers navigate
- ARIA labels are in place across all pages so assistive technologies can interpret interactive elements correctly
- Pages are marked with language information so screen readers apply the right pronunciation rules
Recraft Homepage Only
- All images on the homepage have descriptive alt text
- CTA buttons meet the required color contrast ratio
- Homepage respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting, so animations are suppressed for users who have enabled this in their system preferences
- Navigation doesn't trigger unexpected changes when focused
Recraft Studio Only
- Recraft Studio supports keyboard shortcuts for core tools
Where we are now
Status: We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance.
We completed a WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 gap analysis in March 2026 for our website and are actively working through the findings. The issues we're aware of are listed below. We're prioritizing anything that blocks core tasks first, and we'll update this status as we make progress. If you run into something that isn't on the list, please let us know.
We are also currently undergoing a separate accessibility review for our Recraft mobile app (iOS and Android).
Known issues
The following issues are currently known and are being addressed. Target dates are our current best estimate and will be updated if timelines change. This page is reviewed at least annually.
- Some images across our other web pages still lack text descriptions for screen reader users. We are targeting Q4 2026 for this fix, though timelines may be updated as work is prioritized.
- A skip-to-content link is not yet in place, meaning keyboard users must tab through the full navigation before reaching page content. We are targeting Q4 2026 for this fix.
- Some pages outside the homepage don't yet respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting, including animated images and auto-play videos. We are targeting Q4 2026 for this fix.
- Keyboard focus indicators are not yet implemented on the Recraft Studio canvas. We are targeting Q1 2027 for this fix.
- Some text across our pages may not meet the required color contrast ratio, making it harder to read for users with low vision. We are targeting Q4 2026 for this fix.
- Single-character keyboard shortcuts in Recraft Studio — for example, pressing S or T to switch tools — can be accidentally triggered by speech recognition users. We are adding the ability to disable or remap these shortcuts. We are targeting Q3 2026 for this fix.
- Review other child/subpage content on recraft.ai, such as marketing, pricing, and informational pages. We are targeting Q4 2026 for this fix.
What's not included
A few things fall outside the scope of this statement:
- Third-party content linked from our services but not under our control.
- Content that is no longer under active management and was published before 28 June 2025.
- Content created or uploaded by users, including generated images, uploaded assets, and custom style sets. We are responsible for the accessibility of the tools used to create content, not the content itself.
- AI-generated images produced by Recraft Studio. The content of generated images is not subject to the same accessibility requirements as interface elements; however, we are actively working to make the tools used to generate and interact with images more accessible.
- Interface components generated by third-party platforms we build on, including the website framework and documentation system, where those components are not directly modifiable by our team. We engage with these platform providers on accessibility improvements where feasible.
- Features in beta or early access, which are under active development. We aim to apply the same accessibility standards to these features before they reach general availability.
How we keep this up
Accessibility isn't something you fix and forget. Here's how we stay on top of it:
- In Q1 2026, we completed a structured WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 gap analysis covering the Recraft website, Recraft Studio, and documentation site, identifying known issues and remediation priorities
- Accessibility issues identified in our gap analysis are tracked in our engineering backlog and being prioritized
- We review this statement at least once a year, and whenever we make significant changes to the product
- We use user feedback to surface issues we might have missed
- Where accessibility limitations arise from third-party platforms we build on, we engage with those providers or implement custom overrides where technically feasible.
