Manual selection tools Recraft Studio provides several selection and modification tools for precise manual edits, such as the Lasso, Brush, Area selector, Magic wand, Eraser, and Cut tools. These allow fine control over what parts of an image are affected when applying edits, regenerations, or style changes. For detailed descriptions and usage of each tool, go to Selection tools.

Edit area

You can manually select and edit an image or design using the Edit area feature. To activate it, select an image on the canvas, then click Edit area in the context panel that appears at the right of the canvas. This will open a panel where you can choose the Lasso, Brush, Area, and Wand tools. To exit these selection tools, click Edit area again.

Duplicate an image

There are multiple ways to duplicate an image:
  • Use the copy-paste function: Cmd/Ctrl+C and Cmd/Ctrl+V
  • Hold Option on Mac and Alt on other OS, then click and drag the new image
  • Right-click the image and select Duplicate
