This quick start guide walks you through the core steps to begin creating images in Recraft Studio. You’ll create an account, generate your first image, make a simple edit, and export the result.

Create a Recraft account

Go to recraft.ai and click Start now free. Choose one of the available sign-in methods:
  • Email
  • Google
  • Discord
  • Apple
No password is required. If you sign up with email, you’ll receive a one-time code to complete sign-in.New accounts include free credits so you can start generating images right away.If you already have an account, you can skip this step.

Create a new project

Open Recraft Studio from your browser. If prompted, sign in to continue.You’ll land on the Projects view, where all your work is organized.From here, click Create new project to open an empty canvas.

Generate your first image

At the bottom of the canvas, use the prompt panel to describe what you want to generate, then click the arrow button to generate.After a few seconds, your image will appear on the canvas in a bounding box.(Optional) Adjust settings such as model, style, aspect ratio, or image count.

Make your first edit

Select the image on the canvas to reveal editing options.You can make simple changes using tools like natural language editing, background removal, or area selection.Edits create a new version of the image while keeping the original intact.

Export your image

When you’re happy with the result, export the image from the canvas.Select the image and click Export in the upper right or right-click the image and select Export as…Choose a format such as PNG, JPG, PDF, and TIFF for raster images; or SVG, PDF, and Lottie for vector images.
